The Journey of a Cultural Healer
Antonio D. Stovall is an educator, community leader, author, meditation coach, Metaphysical Minister, and Indigenous Sangoma priest dedicated to helping individuals and communities reconnect with healing, purpose, culture, and the wisdom of the land.
As the founder of Ancestral Perspective LLC and Star City Sangoma, Antonio bridges ancient wisdom with modern wellness through meditation, breathwork, Kemetic yoga, ancestral teachings, cultural education, medicinal music, and community engagement. His work is rooted in the belief that true transformation begins within and extends outward to families, communities, and the environment.
Antonio is an ordained Indigenous Sangoma priest, ordained metaphysical minister, certified mindfulness meditation instructor, certified breathwork facilitator, Kemetic yoga instructor, healing-centered educator, and youth mentor. For more than a decade, he has worked with youth, families, schools, universities, and community organizations, helping people cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and holistic well-being.
He currently teaches African American Culture and Contemporary Issues at William Fleming High School in Roanoke, Virginia, where he integrates mindfulness, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and healing-centered practices into education. His innovative work has inspired students to become leaders, educators, and advocates for positive change within their communities.
Antonio is also the creator of The Landlords, a community movement dedicated to honoring sacred spaces, reconnecting people to the land, and fostering environmental stewardship through education, ceremony, and service. Through this work, he encourages people to see the earth as a living teacher and to cultivate a deeper relationship with nature and future generations.
As a researcher, speaker, and writer, Antonio is committed to preserving and sharing overlooked stories from African American history, including the life and legacy of Dr. John Henry Pinkard, a pioneering herbal healer, entrepreneur, minister, and community builder whose work continues to inspire modern approaches to wellness and self-determination.
Through his teachings, music, writings, ceremonies, and community initiatives, Antonio seeks to build bridges between past and present, honoring ancestral wisdom while empowering people to create healthier, more connected, and more purposeful lives.
